Private individuals therefore have significantly lower costs than commercial employers of a mini-job. The activities that can be registered privately are thus limited to so-called household-related services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, a tax benefit of 20% of the total employer costs (max. \u20ac510) is available to the private employer in the course of the annual income tax declaration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-is-included-in-the-household-related-services-of-a-mini-job\">What is included in the household-related services of a mini-job?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your mini-jobber may perform all so-called household-related activities in the private household, even if they are a family member, as long as they do not live in the same household.<br>These are generally tasks that would otherwise be carried out by the household members themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following table provides examples of activities that qualify as household-related services:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th><strong>Category<\/strong><\/th><th><strong>Examples \/ Notes<\/strong><\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Household chores<\/strong><\/td><td>Cleaning, doing laundry, ironing, tidying up, cooking<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Garden maintenance<\/strong><\/td><td>Mowing the lawn, trimming hedges, removing leaves, planting in private gardens<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Childcare<\/strong><\/td><td>Supervising, playing, helping with homework (as long as it does not qualify as formal tutoring)<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Senior care \/ daily assistance<\/strong><\/td><td>Providing company, grocery shopping, accompanying to doctor\u2019s appointments, walks<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Pet care in the household<\/strong><\/td><td>Feeding, walking, and grooming pets at the owner\u2019s home<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Winter service (private property)<\/strong><\/td><td>Clearing snow and spreading grit on private paths and driveways<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Errands and driving services<\/strong><\/td><td>Running errands or driving for household members (e.g. pharmacy, post office, shopping)<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Sign language interpretation for relatives<\/strong><\/td><td>Support within the private household<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>House sitting \/ supervision<\/strong><\/td><td>Looking after the house while the residents are away<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-register-mini-jobs-in-private-households-with-quitt\">Register mini-jobs in private households with quitt<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use <strong>quitt<\/strong> to register all activities that belong to the household-related services as a mini-job.
